To continue putting its ESG sustainability commitments into action, Ennostar marked the third consecutive year of its annual volunteer program. On April 25, the Company partnered with the Coastline Environmental Protection Association and mobilized 102 employees, family members, and friends to participate in a beach cleanup at the Beach in Yuanli, Miaoli. Through this initiative, Ennostar helped protect the marine environment while supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 14 (Life Below Water), SDG 15 (Life on Land), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), demonstrating the positive impact that businesses and society can create together through sustainable action.
Joining Forces with Local Partners to Promote Marine Environmental Education
The Coastline Environmental Protection Association, Ennostar’s partner organization for this event, has long been dedicated to marine conservation. Since 2021, the association has adopted and maintained a two-kilometer section of coastline in Yuanli, while actively promoting beach cleanups, environmental education, and sustainable diets. Under the guidance of the association’s professional team, participants first learned about marine waste, its sources, environmental impacts, and beach cleanup safety procedures before heading to the coastline to begin their cleanup mission. This hands-on experience enabled participants to deepen their understanding of marine pollution and strengthen their commitment to environmental protection. Ennostar Chairman Patrick Fan also attended the event and encouraged employees to use beach cleanup efforts as a starting point for reducing waste and conserving resources in their daily lives, thereby contributing to a more sustainable future.

A Collective Effort to Prevent Marine Debris from Entering the Ocean
A large amount of discarded fishing nets, Styrofoam, plastic bottles, and other marine debris were found scattered across the beach and trapped among coastal rocks. Participants worked together to search every corner of the shoreline and formed human chains to transport larger waste items to designated collection areas. Through the collective efforts of all volunteers, a total of 629 kilograms of marine debris was removed, reducing the risk of pollution entering the ocean and harming marine ecosystems, while making a meaningful contribution to coastal conservation.
At the conclusion of the activity, Association Manager Chen Shih-Chia invited participants to share their experiences. Many employees noted that they had not realized the extent of marine litter hidden among reefs until the tide receded, allowing them to directly witness the environmental impacts of marine pollution. Some participants also shared that volunteering alongside their children created valuable opportunities for family learning while inspiring a greater appreciation for environmental stewardship and responsibility toward nature in the next generation.

Participants were also deeply inspired by the dedication of the association's staff and local volunteers, whose long-term commitment to environmental protection demonstrated the power of community action. Through collaboration with local partners, volunteers gained a deeper appreciation for the important role communities play in environmental conservation and recognized their shared responsibility to protect and preserve the natural environment.
